Juliana Harris lives in the rural township of Academy, in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Central California. A native of New York City, she was educated at the Art Students League of New York, where she studied painting and drawing under American masters Robert Brackman and Robert Beverly Hale. She also attended Emerson College in Boston, the State University of New York at Albany, and the University of New Orleans. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in liberal arts from the University of the State of New York. Paralleling her career in the arts, she worked as a news journalist and editor focused on the cultural arts, science and medicine. She has recently published three books related to music with her husband Evo Bluestein (all available on Amazon).
